How to Configure VPNarm On MAC Operating System

This support article will guide you through the process of Setting up and Configuring VPNarm for MAC Operating Systems.

VPNarm App (Automatic)

  1. Download and Install the VPNarm software here.
  2. Once Installed Launch the VPNarm Application.
  3. Click Options.
  4. Now enter your VPNarm Username and Password then Click OK.
  5. Click on Save then select the Browsing Country to Connect.

VPNarm (Manual)

  1. Download the required VPNarm Configuration to your computer.
  2. Access the Tunnelblick Website, Download Tunnelblick for your MAC Operating System.
  3. Launch the Tunnelblick Application to begin the Startup Wizard. You may be promoted for Administrator Credentials. If required provide them then Click OK.
  4. Right click the Server Configuration file and change the file type from .ovpn to .tblk.
  5. Double click on the Server Configuration .tblk file then select either Apply to all to install for all users or Only Me. You may be promoted for Administrator Credentials. If required provide them then Click OK.
  6. Tunnelblick icon will appear in the top right of your screen. Click the icon and select the Browsing Country to Connect.
  7. You will be prompted to enter your VPNarm Username and Password. Once entered click OK and you will begin connecting.

Setup L2TP Connection (Manual)

  1. Click the Apple Icon and select System Preferences.
  2. Select the Internet and Wireless category then Click Network.
  3. Administrator Privileges are required from here. Within the Lower-Left Corner click the Lock Icon to make changes then enter your Password to continue.
  4. Once you enable administrative privileges select Create a new connection by clicking the + icon just above the Lock Icon.
  5. An interface drop-down box will appear. Select the VPN option.
  6. Click the drop-down box labelled VPN Type and select L2TP.
  7. Enter a Service Name for your new VPN then Click the Create Button.
    • Enter the Server IP you require in the Server Address field.
    • Enter your VPNarm Username in the Account Name field then Click the option Authentication Settings.
    • A pop-up box will appear prompting you to enter your VPNarm Password then Click OK.
  8. Navigate to Advanced Settings and Click the Session Category.
    • Make sure the Third Checkbox Send all traffic over VPN connection is ticked then press Apply.
  9. Test your new VPN by Clicking Connect below Authentication Settings.

Setup PPTP Connection (Manual)

  1. Click the Apple Icon and select System Preferences.
  2. Select the Internet and Wireless category then Click Network.
  3. Administrator Privileges are required from here. Within the Lower-Left Corner click the Lock Icon to make changes then enter your Password to continue.
  4. Once you enable administrative privileges select Create a new connection by clicking the + icon just above the Lock Icon.
  5. An interface drop-down box will appear. Select the VPN option.
  6. Click the drop-down box labelled VPN Type and select PPTP.
  7. Enter a Service Name for your new VPN then Click the Create Button.
    • Enter the Server IP you require in the Server Address field.
    • Enter your VPNarm Username in the Account Name field then Click the option Authentication Settings.
    • A pop-up box will appear prompting you to enter your VPNarm Password then Click OK.
  8. Navigate to Advanced Settings and Click the Session Category.
    • Make sure the Third Checkbox Send all traffic over VPN connection is ticked then press Apply.
  9. Test your new VPN by Clicking Connect below Authentication Settings.
